GTA: San Andreas Gains Xbox One Backward Compatibility
Grand Theft Auto fans will have a new backward-compatible game for the Xbox One game console to enjoy come June 7. The new game is GTA: San Andreas and the version coming to the Xbox One is the Xbox 360 flavor. That means that ownership and cloud saves will transfer over.
If you played the game on the previous console you will get to pick up where you left off. If you happen to have the disc for San Andreas lying around from your 360 somewhere, you get a nice free update. Throw the disc in the console and you get access to the backward compatible version that has achievements, improved draw distances, and sharper textures than the original.
Those updates to the game are given at no cost to the gamer. San Andreas was a fun game and had one of the largest areas to explore of any franchise entry. There are three cities to explore and lots of land between them to enjoy.
Other fun parts of the game include a jetpack you can find, a co-op top-down mode. Along with San Andreas, two other games came to the Xbox One via backward compatibility recently including Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis and Midnight Club: Los Angeles reports GamesRadar.
