Google to Shut Down Operations in China April 10?

By

The expected move by Google to pull out of China takes another step forward with the leak of a date: April 10th. While it still seems to be in question what exactly will shut down on that date, there has been no denial from Google that the date is wrong. Whether or not Google is just shutting down its search engine or all operations in China remains to be seen.

Googles decision to cease its operation in China is edging closer to reality after months of negotiations. China Business News reports that Google plans to leave China on April 10. The report cites an unidentified Google China employee, but this information has not been confirmed by Google. Allegedly, Google gave its China employees the option of moving to the companys U.S. headquarters or working for its Asia-Pacific operations.
