Gigabyte X58A-UD7 Motherboard Review
Test Configuration
For this review I ran both the Gigabyte X58A-UD7 and EVGA X58 E760 Classified with the same setup. It was the normal setup as usual, Intel Xeon w3570 clocked at 133MHz x20, Corsair Dominator GT 2000C7, Asus HD 4890 1GB, Seagate 7200.10 hard-drive, and a Corsair HX1000 powering the entire setup. Windows 7 x64 was used with ATI’s 10.1 drivers with default visual quality settings. Memory timings were set to 7-8-7-20-74-1T with the memory set to the 1866 divider. It should be noted that the EVGA Classified set RTL values of 55-57-58 while the Gigabyte X58A-UD7 set RTL values of 57-59-60 which might explain the performance differences.
