By

GIGABYTE sent over an e-mail tonight letting Legit Reviews know that they have received an official announcement from Intel about the 6 series chipset flaw. Intel has learned that in some cases, the Serial-ATA (SATA) ports within the chipsets may degrade over time, potentially impacting the performance or functionality of SATA-linked devices such as hard disk drives and DVD-drives. This is not a good thing and both Intel and Gigabyte have halted the shipment of these boards.
