Gigabyte Ships 12.5 Million Motherboards So Far This Year

Gigabyte Technology has posted revenues of NT$3.76 billion (US$117.54 million) for August 2010, down 9.65% sequentially and 5.82% from a year earlier. Shipments of motherboards reached about 1.5-1.65 million units in August, bringing total shipments for the first eight months of the year to 12.5 million units. Graphics card shipments topped 1.65 million units in the eight-month period with shipments in August of 250,000-300,000 units.
Gigabyte’s combined revenues for the first eight months of 2010 reached NT$34.06 billion, up 15.65% on year. Gigabyte was recently invited by China’s General Administration of Sport to host a China-Germany E-sports Friendly gaming event in Shanghai to promote Expo 2010.
