GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0

Looking at the box of the GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R, we see it’s a real eye catcher with all of the features it advertises. USB 3.0, SATA 3, and 3 way SLI/Crossfire support to name a few.

The back of the retail packaging is littered(in a good way) with details of the features the X58A-UD3R offers.

The sides of the retail packaging a re a bit plain but it’s really not an issue. The label with the full model and serial number can be located here as well.

On this end of the retail box we see the features listed in a whopping 16 different languages.

  • Energy saving design with DES 2 Technology
  • Supports Intel Core i7 processors
  • Features 4 PCI-E x16 graphics interface
  • Integrated SATA 6Gb/s

Opening up the GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R we see a nice bundle that includes : the I/O panel, two pairs of SATA 2.0 cables, an IDE cable, an SLI bridge, a 3-Way SLI bridge, manuals, and a driver disc. Not a bad bundle at all. One thing I’m a little disappointed with is that the motherboard touts having SATA 3 but does NOT include a SATA 3 cable.

Underneath the bundle resides the GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R itself. Looks pretty mean for a $200 motherboard.
