Overclocking Results

Overclocking is where the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P really shines; I was able to take my retail Q9450 with just an 8x multiplier and crank it up a full 1200MHz without going over 1.3v.

I have no doubt that we could have gotten higher than 475MHz, but I’m just not willing to push the hardware that much for a computer that needs to run 24/7. Since very little voltage was needed for this overclock the whole system was still very cool. Short of X48 motherboards which are much more expensive, there are only a few boards that can pull off these sorts of overclocks.
