GIGABYTE Announces New Icon-based BIOS – TouchBIOS

Gigabyte revealed its new Icon-Based BIOS which will be featured in its new motherboards in a blog post this morning. The company didn’t reveal much, but we can make some assumptions from the image was posted. It looks like the BIOS will support Touch Sense Control and specific icons would be included for Overclocking, I/O, Wireless connectivity, security and other features. This is good news as we found many recent Gigabyte boards like the P67A-UD4 to be lacking a UEFI BIOS and the functionality that other brands motherboards have now. It is likely that we will see this BIOS on some of the upcoming Intel Z68 chipset based boards next month!
