G4 to Cancel Attack of the Show and X-Play in December

By

It appears that NBC is going to be moving G4 away from game coverage and it is starting off by ending Attack of the Show! and X-Play by the end of the year! The news was made on the G4 blog this afternoon. Attack of the Show! and X-Play have been popular shows for those into tech and gaming, so it will be sad to see them go. Attack of the Show has aired more than 1,700 episodes since coming out on March 28, 2005! Both Attack and X-Play pioneered live convention-floor coverage of Comic-Con and E3 and changed the way many tech publications cover events and bring you news!

X-Play

G4’s two longest-running and defining series, Attack of the Show! and X-Play, will be ending their run at the end of 2012. Both shows will include original episodes through the end of the year, and will look back at theirmost memorable moments as we lead up to their final episodes. A rotating lineup of guest co-hosts including John Barrowman, Michael Ian Black, Josh Myers, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel and Horatio Sanz will join AOTS hosts Candace Bailey and Sara Underwood, and X-Play hosts Morgan Webb and Blair Herter as part of the farewell shows.
