Futuremark 3DMark 11 Delayed – Not Coming Out Tomorrow

By

Futuremark recently announced that 3DMark 11, the latest version of the industry standard benchmark for real-time 3D graphics, would be released on November 30. That day is tomorrow, but it looks like Futuremark has a couple bugs that still need to be fixed and as a result the release date will need to be pushed back. We just got an e-mail from Oliver Baltuch stating that the launch of the benchmark is going to be delayed by a few days.

Futuremark 3DMark 11

Over the weekend we made the difficult decision to postpone the launch of 3DMark 11 by a few days. Our aim is that 3DMark 11 should provide accurate, reliable and consistent results from the start. With that goal in mind we are taking some extra time now to fix a couple of difficult bugs rather than patching the benchmark immediately after launch. It might take a day, it might be a week, but either way we’ll be in touch again soon to confirm the new launch date and send you your review copy and complimentary press license. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
