Func HS-260 Gaming Headset Review
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
Func has once again presented to us again a likable product that we enjoyed using. The HS-260 headset looks good, performs well, is very comfortable to wear, and reasonably priced in relation to its design and features. Going over the physical design, the headset’s bulkiness is countered by a lightweight construction and generous padding. Comfort can be further customized to an extent by choosing from either the cloth or leather earpads as well as selecting which earcup the detachable cable should run from.
The Func HS-260 sound quality met our expectations with no outstanding flaws. The characteristic in many ways was similar to the Corsair Vengeance 1400 headset as both headsets are tuned with a mostly flat signature to at proficiently play a wide variety of music. The HS-260 however, is subjectively better because it’s a bit livelier at the treble frequencies and has a wider stereo soundstage which simulates more positional audio distance. The microphone is excellent, on the level of the best gaming headsets we’ve reviewed in the past year.
The Func HS-260 can be found for $79.95 shipped on Amazon or $79.99 shipped at Newegg, putting it within the range of high-end gaming headsets. This includes the Corsair Vengeance 1400 which closely compares with a similar sound signature. With a good looking and comfortable design, more than passable sound quality, and relevance amongst the competition, the HS-260 is another addition to our recommended headsets.
Legit Bottom Line: The Func HS-260 headset is truly well-designed and delivers on every front.
