Foxconn splashes onto the video card scene

By

When you say Foxconn, the picture that pops into most people’s heads are of low end budget computer parts. And while it is somewhat accurate, the story is also along the lines of them being one of the world’s largest computer component manufacturing corporations. Foxconn’s range of customers are not limited to just retailers; bigs names such as Dell, Intel, and Apple all do a fairly large amount of business with Foxconn. Check for yourself if you’re not sure, you just may find a Foxconn logo on your motherboard. With the recent launch of nVidia’s 7900 series GPUs, Foxconn has decided to start making graphics boards for themselves and just cut out the middlemen, and they’ve gone all out with their new 7900GX2 cards sporting two 7900GTX GPUs per card running with 500MHz cores, 1GB of 1.2GHz memory, and capable of operating in SLi for a monstrous 2GB Quad SLi setup.
