Fortnite v7.20 Content Update Goes Live Today

Fortnite gamers have a content update to look forward to that is going live today, January 22, at 5am PT. The good news for Fortnite players planning on gaming during that time is that the update requires no server downtime. For now, all the content of the update is a mystery.

The patch notes won’t land until the update goes live. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some insights into what the update will bring. A “Sneaky Snowman” has been teased to allow users to become a master of disguise. Presumably, that is a new costume for players to use.

The assumption is that snowman costume will let users blend into the environment, sort of like the Bush already in the game. Other things that will change include the Quad Launcher being vaulted. Changes to shield availability, spawn rate of mobility items and vehicles are being changed as well.

Some of the changes are Epic’s response to complaints that players have about the state of the game currently. Unconfirmed speculation suggests players might also see map changes and new cosmetic items reports Dextero.
