Fortnite Close Encounters is Live After Being Postponed
If you were one of the Fortnite masses looking forward to playing the new Close Encounters mode over the weekend, you might have bene annoyed to find the mode had been pulled. The reason why it was pulled isnt clear, all we know for sure is that Epic found some sort of issue with the mode and disabled it across all platforms.
However, it was only delayed for a while and it is now live. This mode was part of the 4.2 content update and is close quarters combat only. The only weapons in the mode are shotguns and jetpacks are heavily featured. Jetpacks were part of the 4.2 content update and were much anticipated.
There is no word on what the exact issue was that kept the mode from launching as expected. The other limited time mode that launched along with Close Encounters, Solid Gold v2, was live as planned with no issues. That mode provides legendary weapons for each that is dropped reports Gamespot.
The new update also brought with it a new round of weekly challenges for players to enjoy. Fortnite continues to be one of the hottest games on Earth right now.
