Fortnite By Epic Games Will Be First Unreal Engine 4 Game

Well it seems Epic Games will be the first to release a title based on the company’s Unreal Engine 4. Fortnite is a multiplayer title set in a post-apocalyptic setting and will be a strategy-action survival game with a focus on classes. The players will by day build fortifications and traps by scavenging items from the surrounding area in order to survive the monsters’ onslaughts that come during the night. The engine behind the game with it’s blueprint modular development tool has made creating Fortnite easier and should prove to make content creation by artists easier in the future according to Cliff Bleszinski. As it stands, Fortnite is currently PC exclusive as it is the primary platform, however the door is open for console versions. After all, the game engine’s scalability will allow games utilizing it to be ported to even mobile platforms and weaker consoles.
