Ford Gives Users Free MyFord Touch Performance Upgrade
Ford customers said MyFord Touch could be faster and feature simpler graphics that are easier to use and thats exactly what Ford plans to deliver with a broad set of performance upgrades to the system launching first on the new 2013 Ford Escape, Flex and Taurus. Available early next year and offered at no charge to existing MyFord Touch owners the software upgrade enhances the ownership experience as it was developed by listening and responding to customer feedback. For will be mailing out a USB Flash drive to every existing My Ford Touch customer to do the update when it is released. This update will be a big deal for customers as Ford said it will offer two two-times faster performance! It’s crazy to see car companies acting like software companies, and offering free upgrades to existing owners!
Were going to mail a USB drive to every existing My Ford Touch customer that has the upgrade on it all they have to do is take this USB drive pop it into the media hub and they let the vehicle do the work. So the upgrade will happen automatically, they just have to let the vehicle do its thing, and then the system will let you know when its done and the upgrade is there, so now theyve got new faster, simpler, easier to use system. Theyve got the new feature set come with it and everything is upgraded, easy they dont have to go to the dealership, but if for whatever reason theyre not comfortable doing it themselves they absolutely can go to the dealership, and its all free of charge.
