EVGA Z68 FTW Motherboard Review
EVGA Z68 FTW Retail Box and Bundle
The EVGA Z68 FTW retail packaging will certainly stand out on a retail shelf, which is great if you’re able to pick one up at your local retailer. If you do happen to have a retailer near you that carries this caliber of equipment, you wont find much marketing text on the front of the packaging.
There isn’t much marketing text on the back of the EVGA Z68 FTW retail packaging either. You will find a list of key features, information about the warranty, and the 24/7 EVGA Support.
Removing the out shell of the retail packing on the EVGA Z68 FTW we are presented with a much heavier duty cardboard box. This box will take much more of a beating from the transit to its final location.
Once we opened up the heavy duty cardboard shell, we found the driver disc, installation guide, and the EVGA Visual guide immediately available.
We removed the top box that contains the bundle are were somewhat surprised to see that the EVGA Z68 FTW motherboard isn’t contained within a separate box. The box with the bundle was simply resting on the motherboard.
Once we break down the bundle that accompanies the EVGA Z68 FTW we can see that it has a pretty full arsenal. The EVGA Z68 FTW has three different SLI bridges, the first is a standard two card NVIDIA SLI bridge. The second and third are used for a three card SLI set ups. The difference between the two is the spacing of the cards. One of the bridges has all three dual slot cards right next to each other, the other places an extra space between two of the cards for a PhysX card. The bundle also has six SATA cables, three – 4pin molex to SATA power, an SuperSpeed USB 3.0 expansion bracket, I/O shield with a fan, and a free sample of EVGA Frostbite thermal grease.
