System Power Consumption & Wireless AC Network Performance
The EVGA X99 Classified motherboard and the ASUS X99 Deluxe were both hitting virtually the same power draw at both Idle and while running 3DMark Firestrike. The EVGA X99 Classified was pulling only 75 Watts at the wall while sitting idle. While running the Firestrike benchmark, the EVGA X99 Classified motherboard and Intel Core i7-5960X were peaking their power draw at 254 Watts at the wall. The ASUS was a touch higher with a pull of 255 Watts. The only spot that the Intel X99 motherboards were different was the CPU loading. The EVGA X99 Classified was pulling only 177 Watts at the wall while the ASUS X99 Deluxe was pulling 204 Watts at the wall.
