Epson Moverio BT-30C Smart Glasses Debut

Smart glasses have been around for a while now, and so far they haven’t taken anything by storm. The latest smart glasses to land are from Epson and are caleld the Moverio BT-30C. These smart glasses connect to an Android smartphone or a Windows PC using USB-C.

Key to the new smart glasses and their connectivity to PCs or Android devices is that plug-and-play support means they are configured automatically. The displays inside the smart glasses are OLEDs providing sharp and bright images reports Engadget.

The glasses can project up to three apps on three different screens against a transparent background. There is a dark lens shade included giving more of a theater experience when watching movies.

One of the big differences in these smartglasses is pricing. The BT-30C sells for $499 compared to the past model selling for $699. The glasses are up for preorder now and will ship in June.
