Epic Games Sues Unlicensed Fortnite Event into Oblivion

Epic Games has the hottest game out there to its credit, and that game is Fortnite. A company out of the UK called Exciting Events wanted to capitalize on the popularity of Fortnite and hosted an unofficial themed event in Norwich. Epic has now sued that event out of existence.

Exciting Events did host the event, but it failed to live up to promises and ended up angering parents who paid to bring their kids. Some of those parents demanded refunds reports IGN.

The entry fee for the event was $16, and a wristband was $26. That wrist band allowed unlimited access to a climbing wall tower for three people, four-person archery range, four go-karts, and other unnamed activities. Those activities were split between 3,000 attendees.

Attendees said that the event was similar to a school carnival and that the main attraction was a truck trailer no larger than a car with a tunnel through it. In the face of the Epic legal action, Exciting Events will cease trading and won’t host two pre-booked Fortnite Live events.
