Eighth employee commits suicide at Foxconn China plant in 3 months

A female employee at Foxconn Electronics’ (Hon Hai Precision Industry’s) factory in Shenzhen, China has committed suicide by jumping off the roof of the factory building, according to a Chinese-language jinbw.com.cn report.
This is the eighth suicide at the factory within the past three months. However, the China police pointed out that the recent suicide was the result of personal matters between the employee and her lover, the report added. According to media reports, Terry Guo, chairman of the Foxconn Group, has sought the aid of an exorcist in an attempt to put an end to the recent run of negative incidents at the plant.
