ECS Z97-PK SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Performance Testing
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 is a good benchmark to gauge how well a drive will perform. Many of the drive manufacturers have used this benchmark to show off the performance of their drives. It provides a quick benchmark of Sequential and Random read/writes, and included a NCQ with a queue depth of 32.
The SuperSpeed USB 3.0 performance testing was done using the Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB SSD and a Thermaltake BlackX 5G SuperSpeed USB 3.0 dock.
Sequential Read | Sequential Write | 4k Read | 4k Write | |
ECS Z97-PK Deluxe | 355.3MB/s | 175.3MB/s | 16.36MB/s | 26.81MB/s |
ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ | 302.8MB/s | 173.7MB/s | 17.47MB/s | 26.1MB/s |
Benchmark Results: The ECS Z97-PK Deluxe motherboard was able to reach 355.3MB/s sequential read, and 174.1MB/s sequential write speed in CrystalDiskMark, which is a little slower than using the onboard SATA III connection.
