ECS Z97-PK SATA III 6Gbps Performance Testing
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 is a good benchmark to gauge how well a drive will perform. Many of the drive manufacturers have used this benchmark to show off the performance of their drives. It provides a quick benchmark of Sequential and Random read/writes, and included a NCQ with a queue depth of 32.
The SATA III 6Gbps performance testing was done using the Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB SSD, with the same SATA cable on both test systems.
Sequential Read | Sequential Write | 4k Read | 4k Write | |
ECS Z97-PK Deluxe | 438.3MB/s | 257.3MB/s | 23.41MB/s | 85.29MB/s |
ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ | 410.2MB/s | 257.2MB/s | 22.35MB/s | 87.26MB/s |
Benchmark Results: As we have come to expect, the Intel G3258 and ECS Z97-PK Deluxe does a great job at handling the SATA III SSD. With a 438.3MB/s average Sequential Read, and a 257.3MB/s Sequential Write speed, it doesn’t break any speed barriers, but still performs respectably for a low cost system.
