Test Setup

For each motherboard a new image of Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit was utilized with SP1. The CPU was run at 3.0GHz and the memory was run at 800MHz with 4-4-4-12 timings at 1.85v. For the overclocking segment the memory was run on the lowest divider with 5-5-5-15 timings to reduce any stress on the MCH. VCore was kept at the default 1.2v for the normal tests and pushed to the maximum 1.45v for the overclocking tests. The 8800GT was run at its stock speed of 700MHz core, 1680 shaders, and 920MHz memory.
