ECS H55H-M microATX Intel LGA1156 Motherboard Review

The performance of the ECS H55H-M was simply outstanding! It was incredible to see a board like this keep up with the two Intel boards that we tested it against! You will not miss a beat with this in your rig!

The bundle of the board was pathetic as far as bundles go. It all comes down to your expectations when you purchase a board. For me, I will give up a few cables and gimmicks for performance any day of the week!

The layout of board was very good. No issues at all were to be had during setup. The lack of DDR slots may cause concern for some, but again, with the target of this board it makes sense.

Overclocking on this board was really good. No, I mean really good! We have hardly ever run across a board that was inexpensive and a great overclocker; they do not come around very often.

Pricing of the board will shock you… are you ready? The board, at time of press was $52.99 shipped after rebate! Again, if you pick up this board and a Clarksdale CPU, you have your board, CPU and GPU all ready to go! With this being targeted at HTPC users, this makes a lot of sense. But, with the performance and overclocking of this board, it is certainly a lot more than a budget board!

Legit Bottom Line: ECS has a winner here with the new H55 Chipset! The only negative thing that I could really think to write about was the lack of an HDMI output, which would have made perfect sense for a board that fits the HTPC crowd so well. For the most part, you get a great buy here for what you are spending. The ECS H55H-M is the real deal!
