Overclocking
You ever have a moment when you did something without any expectation of it either being great, or even good for that matter? That is how I approached the overclocking of this board. I never expect micro boards to really do very well in the overclocking area. Most are just not built for it, and they are very cheap when compared to high end boards that are expected to overclock very well.
If you have had a moment like that above, then you will understand my feelings of surprise when this board overclocked to the levels that it did. Now, just for note, this board did not have any option in the BIOS to change the multiplier, so we were only able to do straight FSB overclocking with the CPU at its default multiplier.
With all that being said, here are the results I got with my i5 750…
Yup! Almost 4GHz! I actually did push it over 4, but it just was not stable enough to call it a valid overclock. In fact, I could not even get a screen shot as it would crash every time I tried. So, this board surprised us a bit in overclocking… in a good way!
