You may find yourself tweaking the bass/treble a bit more often than you would with higher end speakers, but the sound you get will be worth the little tweaks. The speakers themselves are lightweight and solidly built out of wood, adding to both the sound and aesthetic appeal. Yes, you will get more out of a 5.1 system, but you will pay more for it both in space and dollars.
