E3 2019 Could Have Details About Next Xbox

By

The current generation of consoles from Microsoft and Sony have been on the market for years now. A rumor is floating around that says we might get some details on the next-generation hardware at E3 this summer. Two consoles have been tipped with codenames Anaconda and Lockheart.

Both consoles will launch at the same time according to rumors and will be different levels like the Xbox One and Xbox One X we have today. Both are tipped for SSDs with the high-end version having up to 16GB of GDDR6 RAM.

That high-end console is expected to come in near the price of the Xbox One X today. The Lockheart console is said to lack a physical optical drive. Critical Hit doesn’t buy these SSD rumors saying that the use of an NVMe SSD would raise prices too much. Traditional 2.5-inch form factor SSDs have come down in price significantly.

JVC has reportedly said that both consoles will be backward compatible with current games. We will have to wait until the warmer months to figure out if these rumors are true.
