Diamond HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 Video Card Review
The Test System
Today I’m using my default Intel test bed based around a Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 and an Intel Core 2 Quad QX9650. The memory was running at 1333MHz with 7-7-7-21-2T timings. Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit was the operating system of choice with the SP1 patch applied. For the ATI cards the Catalyst 8.7 drivers were utilized while the Nvidia cards ran the 175.19 drivers. For the overclocking segment there was no additional cooling applied to the cards and the tests were performed prior to removing the heatsink for the bare card images.
