Destiny 2 Gambit Mode will Punish Match Quitters

By

Anyone who plays online multiplayer games has had to face an enemy with less than the number of players they expected. The problem is that players sometimes quit in the middle of a match leaving you a man down against the enemy. Destiny 2 is getting Gambit mode soon and that mode focuses heavily on teamwork.

The problem with a heavy teamwork focus is if a player drops out its hard to win. Bungie has announced that Gambit will have penalties for players who quit in the middle of a match. If someone does quit in the middle of your match, the game has a join-in-progress feature.

That allows you to replace teammates on the fly. Gambit is a part of the Forsaken expansion. Gambit has two teams collecting items from enemies vanquished and eventually summoning a boss they must fight to win reports Polygon.

The opposing team can send over more enemies for the opposing team to fight or invade the enemy arena if they want. Forsaken, the expansion that has the Gambit mode will land September 4 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
