Destiny 2 Expansion to Add New Mode

Activision had its earnings call recently and during the call, there was a bit of talk about what is coming for Destiny 2. Coming expansions and will bring with it a new gameplay mode. Activision didnt offer much in the way of detail on the new modes.

Bungie says that moving forward it will “make players more powerful, provide more rewards, and make the endgame more meaningful.” That is thought to be talking about coming power level changes that will make it harder for characters to increase power levels.

Activision and Bungie also allowed some players to get in on the Warmind expansion and the next expansion due this fall to get feedback. Bungie says that the response to the expansions was very positive. As for the new mode coming in the fall update, Activision is calling it “incredibly engaging” adding a “whole new style of play.”

Activision goes so far as to say that the mode is a new style of play for FPS games in general. The new game mode will be revealed at E3 as will details on the third expansion for the game reports Bleedingcool.
