Cyberpower Zeus M2 Intel Ultrabook Review

Cyberpower sent over a loaner Zeus M2 for testing purposes. This Ultrabook features a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U processor that has a maximum turbo frequency of 2.6Ghz. Other highlights include 16GB of DDR3 1600 MHz Corsair Vengeance memory (RAM), and a 120GB Intel 520 ‘Cherryville’ solid-state drive. The Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics are built-in the Intel ‘Ivy Bridge’ processor, so they are integrated and not discrete. The Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics processor is dynamic and runs between 350MHz to 1.05Ghz depending on the load. This graphics processor should be plenty for regular use and light gaming.
While we don’t put a lot of stock into the Windows Experience Index, it can be a good indicator of what the weak link might be. The Cyberpower Zeus M2 has an overall rating of 6.4, which is taken from the lowest score. In the case of the Cyberpower Zeus M2 the lowest score happens to be the Intel HD 4000 Graphics. The Intel Core i5-3317U scored 6.9 while the Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz memory scored 7.4. The highest score was the Intel 520 Series SSD which maxed out the Windows 7 WEI scale at 7.9.
