CyberPower Gamer Infinity GTX System Review

Power Consumption and Conclusion

For testing power consumption, we took our test system and plugged it into a Seasonic Power Angel. For idle numbers, we allowed the system to idle on the desktop for 15 minutes and took the reading. For load numbers, we measured the peak wattage used by the system while running 3DMark Vantage.

CyberPower Gamer Infinity GTX

Here you can see where all of that extra horsepower comes from, at idle the CyberPower Gamer Infinity GTX uses nearly as much as the Smooth Creations LANShark at full load! Under load the Gamer Infinity GTX is consuming a not insignificant 730W. If you’re in a small to medium sized room you will definitely be able to keep it warm!

Conclusion

When you look at the performance numbers the Cyberpower Gamer Infinity GTX puts out you can’t help but be in awe. This machine is the epitome of gaming excellence. With the incredible gaming numbers it puts up it is easy to forget it can also do anything else that you want at performance levels never seen before on a PC. It’s even more impressive that this overclocked hulk comes with a 3-year warranty and lifetime technical support.

I know that some of our readers will say that for the price of $3,999 it should perform like no other computer before it, but let’s be real. There are no doubts about it, this is a dream PC, the kind you and I and every PC gamer we know would buy if money was no object. As a “halo” product this shows that CyberPower is capable of building a great computer and that even if your budget is less than half of this monster, they can take care of you as well.

Something that was quite surprising to me was the noise that this computer did not make. With performance like it has lurking you’d expect to have a wind tunnel sound coming from the case, when in actuality it was very quiet.

I was relieved to find that this system was free of any bloat ware. In fact, the only thing I could find that had been installed besides Vista itself were, of course, the system drivers. The operating system was as clean and tidy as the cable management inside the case.

CyberPower PC is no doubt a player when it comes to building a great PC. For those that aren’t comfortable trying to pull off a DIY, or if you need to recommend a good company to a friend, I would not be afraid to put CyberPower PC to the test. Their attention to detail, great warranty, reasonable pricing, and high quality component choice show that they “get it.”
