Crysis Game Patch Delayed – Bad News For PC Gamers
In an interview around the street date of Crysis the developers mentioned that the first patch for the game was coming out within the two weeks and would improve performance. It has been over a month and those that paid $49.99 for this game have yet to see any patch. The developers have set a new release date for the long awaited first patch for Crysis, but you better be sitting down. If no major problems occur they expect to have it available for public download during January 2008.
Today we would like to go a bit more into detail and mention the major changes/bug fixes. Patch #1 is still meant to be a performance patch and does not include major gameplay changes or new features. Damage dealt to vehicles when shot by LAW has been made consistent. When player melees during gun raise animation, their gun will not be in a permanently raised position anymore. Improved SLI / Crossfire support and performance as well as improved overall rendering performance (DX9 and DX10).
