Crysis Gains Xbox One Backwards Compatibility
If you were around and playing games back when the original Crysis hit PCs, you will remember that the game was notorious for bringing high-end machines of the time to their knees. The game later landed on consoles and if you are an Xbox One Gamer, Crysis and the sequels Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 are now backward compatible on the console.
The game didn’t hit Xbox 360 until 2011 after launching on the PC in 2007. If you have never played Crysis, 11 years later the games are still a lot of fun. The graphics won’t bring modern machines to their knees as they did at launch.
The backward compatibility was announced by Major Nelson recently reports Polygon. Crysis comes not long after other notable backward compatible games landed this month.
Those other games include Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. Sadly, Crytek, the company behind Crysis, hasnt had a cool game in many years. I’d love to see a new Crysis title land.
