Corsair Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset Review

Final Thoughts and Conclusions

Corsair wasnt the first to make a wireless gaming headset,
but they definitely did their homework when they designed the Vengeance 2000.
Even after several hours of playing Battlefield 3, I was never uncomfortable or
eager to remove the Vengeance 2000. The memory foam in the ear cups makes a
huge difference when youre going to be wearing something for an extended
period of time. The microfiber covering on the earpads is also a nice touch as generally leather, or
synthetic leather, can cause perspiration which leads to discomfort.

Personally, Ive never been a huge fan of virtualized
surround sound, but I feel like Corsair did an amazing job with it on the
Vengeance 2000. Instead of sounding airy and empty as other virtualized
surround sound units have sounded in the past, the Vengeance 2000 has sharp,
crisp sounds at every end of the spectrum. The bass is very distinguished, as
are the mids and highs. The software equalizer makes it extremely easy to
adjust the Vengeance 2000 to your exact preferences.

With a price of $149.99 shipped, the Vengeance 2000 isnt exactly an inexpensive headset. Though, considering youre looking at wireless and virtual 7.1
surround sound this isnt a bad price. Similar headsets are priced around the
same price, so this fits perfectly in the market with the competition. At this
price, youre also getting the ease of mind of a two year warranty from
Corsair.

Overall I would definitely recommend the Vengeance 2000 to
someone who is looking to get the latest features in a wireless gaming headset,
but isnt looking to completely break the bank. The Vengeance 2000 was designed
to be used by enthusiast gamers and audiophiles and it definitely fits into its
role.
