Corsair Launches Dominator GTX4 2533MHz DDR3 Memory Module at $325

By

Corsair today announced the launch of the Dominator GTX4, a new ultra-high-speed module with operation guaranteed up to 2533 MHz. This would make them the worlds fastest memory module as they bump off the old record holder by 33MHz! Each GTX4 module is hand-tested in the lab at 2533MHz with latency settings of 9-11-10-30 at 1.65V. Due to the intensive screening involved, availability of the GTX4 module is very limited and are available immediately from the Corsair online store for $325 per module. That means a buying a 4GB (2x2GB) pair of these to run in dual-channel would set you back $650! This might be the most expensive memory kit that Corsair has ever released! Back in 2006 a 2GB kit of Corsair Dominator PC2-8888C4 memory was $610 at launch and to our knowledge that was the most expensive kit ever launched by Corsair prior to this one!

The GTX4 modules are truly Corsairs greatest expression of the memory overclockers art, stated Michal Nowicki, a.k.a. Bachus, master overclocker at Corsair. These modules are so fast that most CPUs will require sub-ambient cooling to run them at their maximum speed. Each GTX4 module represents hours of my work in the lab, and is authenticated by me personally.
