Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset Review
The Corsair HS1a Headset
OK, here we go off on another audio adventure. Today we are going to be taking a look at the Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset (CA-HS1ANA). The HS1A Gaming Headset (CA-HS1ANA) is the analog twin brother of Corsair’s popular HS1 USB Headset (CA-HS1). As a matter of fact, we put the HS1 USB Headset (CA-HS1) through its paces here at the Legit Reviews Labs not too long ago. The Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset (CA-HS1ANA) is designed and built from the ground up for gamers and PC enthusiasts and it shows. The Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset (CA-HS1ANA) is built more like a good set of headphones rather than a headset. But it truly qualifies as a headset because it has a microphone attached to it. The use of 50mm drivers, Optimized Baffle and Geometry, Circumaural closed-back design and Replaceable memory foam ear pads are all clear evidence of that, and these are just some of the “features” within the Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset (CA-HS1ANA) that lets you know that there was probably a gamer behind the design. The Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset (CA-HS1ANA) will only set you back $77.54 shipped, and that includes a full two year warranty.
Corsair came to life one day in 1994 in beautiful Fremont California and primarily manufactured L2 Cache modules. Lucky for all of us that they went in another direction and started making memory modules, and later began manufacturing all kinds of high end computer parts ranging from memory to the very headsets we are taking a look at today. Corsair makes some of the finest high speed memory made today. Their memory is known for its ability to overclock to high speeds and to get to those speeds with very little problems.
Before we get going on the review I would like to point out something that not many people give a lot of thought to while reading reviews or getting opinions from their friends or colleagues regarding audio equipment of any kind… not just headphones or headsets. Audio is very subjective and what sounds good to me might not sound good to you. It is important to keep that in mind when you are planning to purchase a new headset. I guess what I am trying to say here is, don’t take my opinion as the right one. We all have different tastes in music, the volume, and equalization settings than one another and all of these factors are very important to your personal listening or gaming experience.
