Corsair Force LX 256GB SSD Review
Anvil’s Storage Utilities
Anvil Storage Utilities is the newest benchmark on the test system, it measures performance through similar tests as the others. What’s difference is the testing of IOPS (Input/Output Per Second), which is mostly looked at on the enterprise or server environment rather than the consumer market.
Anvil takes everything it tests and evaluates it to provide an overall score. This provides a good overall look at the various SSD’s to include IOPS, Read/Write and Response time. The Samsung EVO and OCZ Vertex received the highest overall scores, with the Corsair LX coming in third. The Intel 520 didn’t fair too well on Anvil either.
Taking a closer look at the Anvil IOPS benchmarks, we can see the difference between the Read and Write IOPS scores. Anvil reports the Corsair Force LX as having low to mid 70,000’s IOPS for both Read and Write tests.
Benchmark Results: The overall Anvil score for the Corsair Force LX was 3,733 which placed it in third place against the other three SSD’s. Anvil reported 520MB/s in the Sequential Read test and 287MB/s in the Sequential Write tests, close to the official specifications.
