Corsair Force LX 256GB SSD Review
AS SSD
AS SSD provides a good overall of the storage devices performance. It includes three different benchmarks, however we will be focusing on the main benchmark. Here Read and Write performance is presented for four different tests, and and overall score is provided.
With a published 560MB/s Sequential Read, AS SSD reported 517.92MB/s; about 43MB/s slower than Corsair published (which ATTO backed up). Write speed AS SSD came back with 11MB/s slower than the 300MB/s that Corsair published.
Even with AS SSD reporting a bit slower than published speeds on the Corsair Force LX, it was still the fastest Sequential Read speed of the group. Write speed it was behind the OCZ and Samsung drives. Once again, it looks like this benchmark does not like Intel’s SSD.
Doing t he 4K Random Read/Write test, the Corsair Force LX, received scores that we expected when looking at the other benchmarks.
Taking everything into account, the Corsair LX received 870 points for it’s overall score in AS SSD, behind OCZ and Samsung, but ahead of Intel (due to the write test inconsistency).
Benchmark Results: AS SSD shows exactly what we have come to expect out of the Corsair Force LX, it performs rather well compared to it’s published speeds and can keep pace with the more expensive drives in Reading data, but is a bit slower at writing.
