Corsair Dominator GT Modules Help Set Dual 3DMark World Records

By

Corsair today announced that a PC equipped with its Dominator GT ultra-high performance DDR3 memory was used to set new world records with the 3DMark 11 and 3DMark Vantage benchmarks. Well-known overclockers Vince K|ngp|n Lucido and Illya TiN Tsemenko posted list-topping scores of P24347 in 3DMark 11 and P79364 in 3DMark Vantage. Three 2GB Corsair Dominator GT GTX2 DDR3 memory modules were used for the record breaking run. This is great PR for Corsair, but all I keep doing is looking at the picture of the cool LED lights that Illya made for the seven K|ngP|n LN2 pots!

LED Liquid Nitrogen Lighted Pots

They started out with the EVGA Classified SR-2 motherboard and a pair of Intel Xeon X5690 processors. Along with the EVGA motherboard they used Corsair Dominator GT GTX2 memory modules and four highly modified NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 graphics cards. Finally they mounted a total of seven, yes I said seven K|ngP|n cooling LN2 pots! First up Vince and Illya took the 3DMark Vantage World Record with a score of P79364. Two of the Xeon X5690 processors were overclocked to almost 5.5GHz.
