Conclusion

To kick off this conclusion I’d say the testing didn’t even get close to pushing the potential in the Corsair Dominator GT 2000C7 modules or the T30 cooling system. When testing the T30 I kept kicking myself for not having a single-stage phase change system or liquid nitrogen so I could kick up the CPU’s uncore and push the CAS7 and CAS8 frequencies. Now keeping that thought in mind, where does the T30 fit in with the myriad of other cooling devices on the market? For use within the typical system the T30 would define overkill. The H30 makes a lot more sense, especially for those individuals who already have their case watercooled. But the T30 isn’t about making sense, it is about pushing the boundaries and for those select few people who are willing, the T30 is there to give them that extra edge. This is definitely a product geared towards the small group of competitive benchmarkers at the tip top of the horde of computer enthusiasts.

Priced at a hefty $199.99 USD, the Corsair Cooling Ice T30 isn’t a cheap gadget. If you can afford it, the T30 will help you pull every last MHz out of your already bleeding edge Dominator GT memory and is well worth every penny in this regard. Outside of competitive benchmarking though it is hard to warrant adding another restriction to your watercooling loop and adding additional heat thereby warming up your processor and possibly graphic card. It should also be noted that even though the power supply is designed to maintain a temperature to avoid condensation I still had a minor amount of condensation form in the area immediately around the TEC. I chalk this up to the 80% humidity in my region but this is something to consider especially if you live in a high humidity region.

Designed for enthusiasts in mind, the Corsair T30 takes the cake and then some. If you need every bit of performance possible then the T30 is the bit of kit you need. If you like your performance to be a little more tame then I’d suggest checking out the H30 as a great alternative.
