Corsair Cooling Ice T30 TEC Memory Cooler Review
Test System
Today I used my LGA1366 platform for the memory testing. I used Windows Vista Ultimate x64 with SP1 enabled. Stability tests were performed with a bootable version of Memtest86+ to lower the chances of corrupting the OS. Maximum “stable” frequency was determined with the ability to run a single Super Pi 32M without error. This level of stability is stable enough to run the traditional 2D and 3D benchmarks but is most likely ~20-30MHz higher than what you would run for 24/7 stability. Testing was done with the Dominator Airflow fan for a baseline result and then the T30 system with the TEC set to the moderated function to prevent condensation. At the time of testing ambient temperatures were around 20 Celsius with a 80% humidity level so the TEC module was only able to bring the memory modules to around 16-18 Celsius.
