PCMark 8 received a score of 5547 when the Bulldog was running at stock speeds. Once we overclocked it, the score went up to 5817. So for a quick overclock boost, PCMark 8 went up 270 points, or a 5% boost in performance.
CPU-Z ver. 1.78 received a score of 9859 for the CPU Multi-Threaded benchmark, while the 5GHz Overclock score that increased to 10935; providing close to 10.9% boost in performance!
We used TotuSoft LAN Speed Test to gauge the network performance of both the wired and wireless NIC’s in the Bulldog 2.0. The wired Intel I219-V Gigabit Ethernet connection ran pretty well, receiving an 894Mbps Write, and a 933Mbps Read speed. While the wireless Intel AC 8265 model received a Write speed of 393Mbps, and Read speed of 597Mbps.
Steam has a nice little performance tool that evaluates your VR performance to see how it should hold up doing VR. As the Bulldog 2.0 is meant to be used as a VR system, this is a nice tool. With the high end Intel Core i7-7700K and Corsair GFX GTX 1080 graphics card, the SteamVR Performance Test shows that it is definitely ready for VR and should be able to handle VR in high quality.
