Computex 2010 Brings in Total Trade Value of $23 Billion

Computex Taipei 2010 which took place during June 1-5 will bring in an estimated total sales transaction of US$23 billion at least for exhibitors of which most were Taiwan-based enterprises, with the value growing by 15% from 2009, according to the government-sponsored Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) which is one of the two organizers of the fair.

Computex 2010 attracted 35,000 buyers from 216 countries or areas and 120,000 visitors, TAITRA indicated. The 2,014 business talks arranged by the organizers in two days struck sales deals worth US$230 million in total, TAITRA pointed out. Among more than 5,000 product items in the exhibition, e-book readers, 3D screens and tablet PCs caught the most attention from international buyers, TAITRA noted.
