CES 2012:Turtle Beach Announces XP300 and XP400 Wireless Gaming Headsets

By

Turtle Beach has announced the next entry in their popular Ear Force line by unveiling the Turtle Beach Ear Force XP400 and XP300 fully wireless gaming headsets. The XP400 and XP300 feature 2.4/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi technology that avoids the crowded wavelengths of most wireless home devices and eliminate virtually all wireless interference while gaming. The Turtle Beach XP400 features the dual pairing Bluetooth technology which allows for wireless chat for Xbox 360 owners, and both the $170 XP300 and $220 XP400 feature rechargeable batteries, adjustable EQ settings and more. We should see the both of these new Ear Force headsets sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

The Ear Force XP400 and XP300 introduce premium features that once again push the limits of gaming headset technology. With the exclusive introduction of groundbreaking 2.4/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi technology, these new headsets avoid the crowded 2.4GHz band used by wireless networks, phones and other devices in the home to deliver interference-free game audio. By automatically switching between the 2.4 and 5.0GHzbands and working within the Wi-Fi specification, the XP400/XP300 headsets navigate around other radio signals and coexist within the same spectrum as wireless networks to deliver optimum signal performance.
