CES 2012: Plextor Annouces M3 Pro Series Solid State Drive

Plextor has announced a brand new M3 Pro series 7mm solid state drive at CES. The new M3 Pro series comes in 2.5-inch form factor with a height of 7mm, in order to fit standard notebooks, desktops, and ultra-slim notebooks. The new SSD will come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacities using 24nm toggle flash memory. The new M3 Pro utilizing SATA 6Gb/s interface will deliver sequential speeds of up to 540MB/s read and 450MB/s write, it will also improve random reads up to 75,000 IOPS and random writes up to 69,000 IOPS. The M3 Pro series will be available in February 2012.
