CES 2011: Super Talent Shows SSD’s and a USB 3.0 SSD Flash Drive
Super Talent SSD’s Of All Types
Still following up with more CES 2011 content, we stopped by to see what Super Talent had on display.
Some very interesting products here! Super Talent has SSD’s that can be used on IDE. If you have an older laptop or desktop with only IDE connections you can upgrade them to SSD for a very nice jump in day to day performance.
Here we see Super Talent’s SSD RAIDDrive II. The RAIDDrive II is a PCIe based drive that is capable of up to 2.4GB/s read and 2.2GB/s write! This is achieved by combining 8 Sandforce SSD’s and a RAID controller into one PCIe 8x slot.
The TeraDrive will be Super Talent’s first product launched on the SATA interface to natively support SATA 3, it will feature a SandForce controller and offer speeds of up to 500MB/s read and 500MB/s write. Sizes will range from 60GB to 480GB!
The MasterDrive SL is designed for ultra mobile products or other small form factor systems. It uses the SATA 3 interface, has speeds of 150MB/s read and 100MB/s write. With capacities ranging from 16GB to 128GB, one of these drives would be great as the boot drive in a Mini-ITX HTPC!
