CES 2011: Corsair Announces 2.1 Speakers, Cases and Water Coolers
Corsair SP2500 & SP2200 Audio Speakers
As we saw in the demos during the press event, Corsair is launching
two sets of speakers. The first is the Gaming Audio Series SP2500 and
the second is the Gaming Audio Series SP2200.
Here is a quick video highlighting the details of the new 2.1 speaker kits from Corsair.
The Gaming Audio Series SP2500 is a balanced, high power, high
performance 2.1 PC speaker system that boats 232 Watts RMS of total
output power. The SP 2500 will work with any audio source, PC, consoles
game systems, as well as MP3 players like the Apple iPod, or the
Microsoft Zune.

- Six Class-D amplifiers
- high-power digital signal processor shapes and balances the audio
- Traditional crossovers replaced with adjustable digital signal filtering
- Controller with 1.8″ LCD screen puts the user in control
While we were at the Corsair Press event they had a couple of demo
machines set up for our viewing pleasure. The system above was built
into the new Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid tower case. That’s not all
though, we also have the Corsair SP2500 Audio Speakers sitting on the
table.
The Gaming Audio Series SP2200 is a class leading 2.1 PC speaker
system that features 46 Watts RMS total output power and offers solid
performance at a great price of $99.99. The SP2200 will be hitting the
shelves near you later this month!

- Satellites have 2″ full range drivers
- Ported subwoofer uses a 6″ driver with rubber surround
- Right satellite has convenient volume and sub controls as well as AUX-IN and headphone-out jacks.
The second system that Corsair had set up for us was in the new
Corsair special edition 600T Graphite. The new Corsair SP2200 Audio
Speakers were also set up!
Corsair Link will allow you to monitor and control your system and all of your Corsair hardware.
