RAM Cooling Gets Active
Also on display were their new RAM cooling heatsinks. These should be available in roughly two months. Somewhat like the Corsair design, we were told that these tall coolers will reduce temperatures by as much as 15-20 degrees. How you ask? So did I. They were kind enough to show me the prototype fan mounts that active cool the modules.
The unique feature of these fans are that they are spring mounted so it absorbs any vibrations caused by the fans which spin up to 1500RPM which should be relatively quiet. These will be available shortly after the release of the above heatsinks and are not yet in the production process as they are tweaking the design. The production models will obviously be branded and have a more refined appearance.
